Our RSA Conference 2013 coverage continues as Alicia Webb discusses cybercrime and the nature of cybergangs with Nicholas Percoco, Senior VP of Trustwave.

Percoco was a keynote speaker at this year’s RSA Conference in San Francisco where he talked about the lifecycle of cybercrime.

Over the years Internet-focused crime syndicates have become extremely sophisticated in terms of organization and structure, but the big surprise Percoco shared with SNTV is how often their hacking tactics can be incredibly simple: insecure credentials and passwords.

At this year’s RSA, Trustwave presented their 2013 Global Security Report which reveals top vulnerabilities and threats that could potentially harm large and small businesses and government agencies worldwide. Once again, password strength is a hot topic.
